Unless the big 12 collapses, I'm not too interested. We couldn't win at football and the bball is less competitive.

Biggest problem I have with the big XII is how far away the teams are and so I don't care about any of them.
The SEC is closer overall... and would five us what would technically be a border rival with Kentucky.
Idunno, Lexington is 5 hours... Knoxville 6 hours... Columbia, SC is 8 hours. I like the Knoxville area, and thats an east drive, only 6 hours from Morgantown. (I guess Lexington is almost as close to Charleston as is Morgantown. )
And traveling through the South toward Florida is a bit more of a normal thing for West Virginians.
It would be a better fit than the big 12 in my opinion.
I knew one or two folks in Charleston who went to University of Kentucky. But what I miss is playing schools like VT and Pitt where I live and work among people who went there and root for them. The ACC would be my favorite spot because we'd have Pitt, VT, UVA...
Anyway, this is all silly and won't happen and what not. But I would take it, I guess, if it was an option.

Liar - no one roots for Pitt. That is a scientifically proven fact.

Sadly, when I read about the demise of the B12, my biggest fear is that we are moving toward a UConn situation where the league implodes and no one wants us. My fear is we will look forward to playing our annual game against Marshall.
