Just got my invite and am testing out their new social networking stuff. Leave me your Gmail addresses and I'll send some invites out as soon as I figure out how it works. Rats, I have your Gmail so I sent you something as a test.

Invites sent, including to internet failure Rats. Don't lose this one pigfucker.
I may just be used to Facebook, but Google+ seems real basic and sterile like most of their other products. It sucks right now since there's no open registration. Maybe it will get better as more people join, so I'm trying to keep an open mind.
Also Google is being a real pain in the ass in that the invite doesn't always work right away. They're seemingly only taking in new invited users on a random timeframe, so if the link doesn't let you in the first time keep trying it at different times during the day & night. I got an invite last night and couldn't get in, then a different friend invited me this morning and it worked. Such randomness is bound to turn people off before the party gets started.

looks like its heading the way of google wave.
Its just a way for google to collect even more data about us, its not like they actually want a new product...if they wanted that market they'd just buy facebook

looks like its heading the way of google wave. Don't forget Google Buzz and a dozen other products. I figure I'll monitor it for awhile and see what happens, but I doubt + becomes a primary site for me.

I actually thought that google wave was a really good idea for project collaboration. I have done a lot of things that I thought it would be awesome to have a place to store documents and get messages, etc...
I think they had something there, but just didnt know how to market it.

I have used picassa to fix pictures...but it wants to document every photo and every face in every photo on your hard drive...it is intrusive as all get out.

I signed up last week but haven't really used it much. Seems weird but who knows, FB was lame compared to the awesomeness of myspace.

I watched "the social network" the other day on tv and googled mark zuckerburg to see what has ever happened to those idiots. Turns out that the #1 google hit was for a google news page about zuckerburg "secretly" joining google + to spy on the competition. How ironic.

Yeah, the article said he got 30,000 requests the first day. I also think that it said he has drastically more friends on the Google + than he does on his own Facebook site...that the Facebook site is, and always was, very private.
And, Starz is obviously following the Facebook philosophy of inundating the world. That movie is on one of the 4 Starz channels at any fiven time during the day. It's a good movie, but I've now seen at least a portion of it on every day since Saturday.
