...I guess I could probably find this if I wanted to search for a which, but I alsondidnt know if it is general knowledge among the company savvy people, but...
Why the hell does Apple and Flash still have a feud or whatever it is? You can't play any Flash based video on any Apple device. I have an Iphone, an Ipad and sometimes use a Macbook at the office. And you really don't know how many sites use Flash until you want ti watch something. It's really annoying to go to a video and it say sorry but Apple will not authorize Flash technology blah blah blah.

Their justification for not allowing it on the iPhone and iPad is that it kills the battery. They could just make the battery better, but that's obviously out of the question for them. I didn't realize they didn't allow Flash on their laptops either.

Wouldn't it be pretty easy just to put in the manual that enabling Flash may deplete your battery and let the users decide for themselves if it was worth it?

I guess maybe I never tried it on the Macbook since it doesn't work on the others. The Ipads battery is good so their excuse is BS

Well that's their line. I've heard another explanation which is obviously not official but makes a lot of sense and could easily be true:
Apple makes a shitload of money off all the games they sell in the App Store. Coincidentally, there are a shitload of free Flash games online. Tens of thousands of them, probably. A lot of the games in the App Store which you have to pay for are free on the regular internet. Allowing Flash on the iPhone and iPad would kill Apple's revenue from all of its games. Developers could write Flash games specifically made for those devices, and all you'd have to do to play them would be to go to that site. You can even put an icon for a site on your home screen, so it'd be just like having the app.
Apple's not going to say that, though. So they say Flash is too hard on the batteries.

they also claim flash is unsecure, dangerous, etc etc.
But kenny's answer is far closer to the truth.
I love that the phone advertises "the true internet" or whatever that tagline was when it came out but eliminates one of the most popular systems on the internet and a ton of the content

Yeah. It honestly affects me very little on the iPhone, because some of the most Flash-heavy sites have mobile versions of their sites which completely replace the normal interface. However, Apple's claim that the internet on your phone is identical to what you can get on your computer is obviously bullshit as long as there's no Flash. There are times when I would rather be on ESPN's main site, but I don't have that option on the iPhone. Most sites will allow it, but ESPN just has too much Flash content to even five me the option I guess.

There is no "flash" on the IPhone or IPad version because they won't allow a "flash" player. Plus, you get that little blue icon on webpages where a flash content should be.

Oh, so that super hero is Flash? Yeah, but its not the same Flash. One is software, one is a fictional superhero. But see, they share the same name...so therefore its kind of a play on words...hence the popularity of its usage in american net culture

Yeah, I figured it was some nerdy attempt at humor.
I think my problem is that I was trying to have sex with a girl in HS, and fell behind on my Superhero education.
