www.newsweek.com/id/235565?GT1=43002I want one. I'm not a computer geek by any stretch of the imagination, so when it comes to a computer, all I want is something that looks cool, is easy to use and easy to handle, and gets me on the internet and connects to my office server so I can work from home. It would be the worst gaming system ever and, as long as it does those things, I can use it. However, this IPad looks awesome. It's as small as the AirBook and does so much more. The people who bought the AirBook thing are going to be kicking themselves....as will IPad users in 2 years because they will have bigger and better IPads....but I have no problem spending $500 on this right now. Only problem, I can't find one.

I bought a note pad instead...it was much cheaper and multitasks exactly as well. The connection fees are cheaper too.

They are 99 for one, but regular price after that. Trust me, I dropped mine the other day and had to buy a new one. I was pissed because the 99 dollar one the 8gb old one. It was worse than the one I already had

I saw a commercial tonight for either an iPad or an iPhone with very tiny people holding it.

My brother in law bought one that he is using as his personal computer now. Overall, I would probably not buy one over a computer. It was cool, but after about 10 min of playing with it I was bored.

BringTheWood had one at a retreat we were at recently...
I grew bored with it very quickly also - within minutes. There were a couple of people who tinkered with it a little, but I think I much prefer a smart phone. I mean, it is big enough that I can't fit it into my pocket, so I suppose I would be as apt to take along my laptop as an ipad.

we have docs that will use them at the hospital...that is why I ordered one. Essentially they are fun for a while...great for kids...and fairly utilitarian...can't use one for your real computer though...no usb, small hard-drive, etc. It is great to travel with though.

Not nearly as funny now. But I may still pay $1.00 and a Magnum 40oz.
