West Virginia [20-8 (9-7), RPI: 58, SOS: 118] The Mountaineers beat Cincinnati to get to 9-7, but very well could need two wins in the Big East tourney to be in the at-large mix. The nine league wins are against UConn, Villanova, St. John's, South Florida, DePaul, Rutgers, Seton Hall twice and the Bearcats. Beating bubble foes and minnows is fine, but where's the beef? Outside of beating PG-less UCLA in nonconference play (still a top-quality win), there's not a lot to fall back on (besides maybe NC State). WVU is now probably (at best) eighth in the pecking order in a conference that might get only seven NCAA bids.
