I just watched the highlight video online and couldn't help but post the accomplishments associated with this team. That video is so well done and this team has accomplished so much, as a fan you can not help but swell with pride.
This team has done so much, and so many were involved in order to get these results. However there are 3 players who will always stand above the rest and forever be remembered in Mountaineer lore. Patrick White, Steve Slaton, and Owen Schmitt will be talked about as long as WVU football exists. These players were all told they, in essence, were not good enough to play the positions they are setting records in now. They have proven the critics wrong, and have taken WVU from a potential, to perennial power.
I am proud to have been a fan during what could possibly be the greatest years in Mountaineer history, and sad to think that the end could be drawing near. We have limited time to watch these guys in our uniforms so take in every moment, enjoy every game, and realize that WVU has truly arrived, thanks in part to three young men who only wanted a chance to play. The announcer said it best on the video, "this is just magic".
