I voted for Bernie Sanders today. Roast me. Congrats for voting your conscience. You know you didn't sell your soul even though your vote has a snowball's chance in hell of ever being successful. I plan to do the same thing next month and in November.

This guy is on our ballot. I'd vote for him if I could, because he asks all the tough questions on the issues. www.rocky2016.com/

But hey, I also voted for Fetterman. I'm fetterman-curious.

I don't think he was actually serious about winning, honestly. You take a leap as far from mayor of a small town to Senator unless your mother was an orangutan and you have ten billion dollars. I'd say he's either trying for name recognition for a state race or maybe congress if whatever person in his area is going to retire soon.
But he is a cool guy. A fucking giant, though.

The Pirates game was snowed out, but there is a big hockey contest in DC tonight:

Is there something I'm missing about hockey? I can diagnose a 2-3 zone in a second, I can read a tampa 2 defense in 2 seconds, but I have no idea whats going on in a hockey game. Is there ever a plan besides just try and get across the blue line and so stuff? I've tried to figure it out but it seems like every time something happens on purpose they just start kicking the puck in the corner or trying to fight.

My girlfriend likes hockey. I watch hockey with her. During the intermissions we have great sex. Therefore, hockey = good to me!

There is a bit more to it than that, of course. Its really what basketball would be if you didn't have to dribble, were allowed to goal tend, and could punch people. I never was able to get into it until I went to a few games, and went with people who could explain things to me. It is still really hard for me to fully follow what is happening on TV. The puck is so small that they zoom in so tight and you can't see enough to see anything that is happening/plays developing. In person, hockey is pretty awesome. On tv, it takes some work to figure out, no doubt.

Yes, I also prefer hockey in person. It's far easier to follow.

So basically we became Pitt? Put a bunch talent in the NFL and go 7-5 with a coach that everybody laughs at.

Looks like Baylor is the only conference team to have more guys drafted than us, although one is that crying basketball bitch Gathers. TCU had the same number as us, and we out-professionaled Pitt, Chokies, and Maryland.

75% is probably a bit high. He'd better have a good first game so they forget that, though. Because, gay or straight, Philly fans are dicks.

Does this mean we under-perform and should fire Holgorsen?

Clearly this level of performance cannot be tolerated, so we must fire the gymnastics coach. It's only fair.

Screw Game of Thrones, for Sunday night HBO nothing beats Silicon Valley - another awesome entry in the catalog of Mike Judge classic satires. In its third season and really hitting its stride. Last night's white horse metaphor is not to be missed.

Silicon Valley is the best. Game of Thrones is basically the opposite of Walking Dead. In WD there is little to no danger of a main character ever dying so there is no suspense. In GoT any character can die at any time which has unfortunately led to the main character that are left never actually interacting with each other, because one will definitely die of that happens.
