So I had dinner the other night at Matt’s brothers restaurant. I told him I thought you are in Law School now. Glad I could help.

It appears Ol' Holgy decided to leave before the bowl game? Plus other fun remarks... Holgorsen dabbles in the transfer game more than most. In his final five years at West Virginia, the coach used half of his initial scholarship spots on transfers. He’s already got some transfers on board here: cornerback Marcus Jones from Troy, running back Kyle Porter from Texas and, maybe, LSU defensive lineman Dominic Livingston. But his primary recruiting territory is within a 100-mile drive—the opposite of his strategy at West Virginia, where elite high school football talent is limited. Over a 10-cycle period from 2008 to ’17, the state of West Virginia produced 28 players who signed with Power 5 schools. Over that same period, the city of Houston churned out 211 Power 5 signees. It’s why Holgorsen’s flight budget at WVU was $250,000 and why his flight budget at Houston will be close to zero. He suggests it’s also why he couldn’t topple Oklahoma. At West Virginia, he could win the Big East with local products while sprinkling in some transfers and Texas guys. Then, the Mountaineers moved conferences. “We weren’t going to get high school kids at West Virginia that we were going to win the Big 12 with,” he says.www.si.com/college-football/2019/04/30/dana-holgorsen-houston-west-virginia-recruitingI'm not sure with the filters that the link will work but y'all are smart with this internets stuff and can find the article if you want.

I'm reading a lot of things about the WVU Football team that makes me smile. I'm not sure if we're going to win a lot of football games this year, but I think I'm going to like this team/coaching staff.
It appears they are going to play together as a team and are going to play tough West Virginia football. I like that a lot!
Maybe we beat someone we shouldn't and that propels us into a good season or gets the ball rolling into next season (think Louisville w/PW?)?
Anyway, after I finish my required summer beach trips I'll be ready for football.

I don't know but it usually ends with us losing a bowl game somewhere in Florida.

Ol’ Holgy talked a lot of crap about how he couldn’t beat OU with WV talent (or lack thereof). Appears he can’t beat them with Houston talent either.

I just had a fuckin IRS auditor who happens to also be a health professional come and measure me. I am 6 fuckin feet tall.
It was rainy and cold that day. Some degree of shrinkage is inevitable.

We beat #2 Ohio State. Basically killing any spirit they had left after losing the the semis to Clemson - ruining the holiday for everyone in that god forsaken state.

Maybe we are better than I thought? Still getting to the 20-win mark will be difficult, especially since we suck shooting free throws. But Culver/Tshiebwe/McBride seem to be capable of going off any fiven night so that might carry us.

My guess is we are favored in at least 6 more games. Win those and we are a 24 win team before the tourneys.
I know this is an impossibly big ‘if’, but if we could get a little hot, we could be a final 4 team.

To quote my girlfriend's youngest daughter..."We're good-ish" Good against teams that suck? Yup. Good at home? For the most part, Yup. Good against anyone on the road for the past 18 months? Nope. Doesn't matter who it is either. So...5 games remaining. Right now we're 19-7 Saturday - @tcu. Should we win? Yup. Will we win? Eh...this one will tell you the next answer Monday - @texas. Should we win? Yup. Texas is a dumpster fire. Will we win? Eh...see TCU. Saturday (2/29) - Oklahoma at home. Should we win. Yup. Will we win. Probably at home, yes Tuesday (3/3) - @iowa State. Should we win. Absolutely. ISU is hurting. Will we win? Eh...it's on the road and we seem to suck on the road. Saturday (3/7) - Baylor at home. Should we win? Nope. Baylor is very good. Will we win? Probably not, but stranger things have happened. So what do I think? I think we wake up on Sunday (3/8) and our final regular season record is 22-9 at best.
